Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
This policy explains what data MarketAlert collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
Data we collect
When you create an account we store your username and email address; your password is kept only as an irreversible hash. If you continue without an account, we store a random device identifier generated by the app on your device. We also keep the alerts you create, their trigger history, your notification preferences and your language choice.
Why we use it
We use your data only to provide the service: to evaluate your alerts, deliver your notifications, authenticate your account, manage your Plus or Pro subscription and answer support requests. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.
Third party services
Market data comes from Binance. We use Google Firebase for push notifications and Telegram services for Telegram notifications, which means notification content is passed to those services. If you use the AI chat feature, your message is sent to OpenAI services for processing. Those providers’ own privacy policies apply.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and alerts are deleted within a reasonable period, except for records we are legally required to retain. Session tokens become invalid once they expire.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to ask for it to be corrected or deleted, to object to its processing and to request it in a portable format. These rights are covered by KVKK in Türkiye and by GDPR in the European Union. You can send your request to our contact address.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: passwords are stored as hashes, session tokens are kept in secure storage on your device, and communication with our servers is encrypted. Please note that no system is completely secure.
Website and cookies
The www.marketalertapp.com website uses Google Analytics. It collects the pages visited, buttons clicked, approximate location (country and city), and device and browser type. Analytics cookies are stored in your browser only if you allow them; otherwise only cookieless signals that do not identify you are sent. Advertising permissions are always off. We use this data only to improve the website. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the site. The app itself does not use Google Analytics.
Contact and changes
You can send privacy questions through the support section in the app. We may update this policy; we will announce significant changes in the app and update the effective date on this page.
